Gotham’s return!

Ok.. I just wanna talk about one of my favorite show’s Gotham. After a huge wait over the holiday break we finally got to see what happens to Jim Gordon after being moved to Arkham Asylum as a security guard. All I can say is that it was a very great way to start the second half of Gotham. The performances by Robin Lord Taylor, Ben Mckenzie, and the rest of the cast ( Camren, Jada, Donal, and Drew) were all top notch. This episode had a few funny parts as well, my favorite being when Harvey had stormed in the Asylum helping Jim with solving his case. They were just meant to be partners #TeamBordon

Now overall, it was a great episode probably one of the best so far…But what really pisses me off, IS THAT WE HAVE TO WAIT 2 WEEKS UNTIL THE NEXT GOTHAM EPISODE! Why?!?!??!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!?!? Ive done enough waiting 😦

Batman-Colorado-5There you happy? You made Batman cry…

Mid-Season/Season Finales this week! * SPOILERS*

This week was filled with many Finales to mark their holiday break. Wether it was a Mid-Season or Season finale, each of them were spectacular. Here are some of them.

The Flash

The first of the bunch to release it’s mid-season finale was the flash, and it was a Great start. In this episode called “the man in the yellow suit”, we can hint at that we see the killer of Barry’s mom, also known as Reverse Flash. This episode had all the great things about The Flash packed into one episode.  Click here for Spoilers.

Arrow

Now personally my favorite Mid-Season Finale of the week, is Arrow. As we get halfway into the third season, there is alot we have seen, but we haven’t seen everything. In this episode we finally see Ra’s Al Ghoul, the main villain in season 3, and he made a great impression. Certainly the most ruthless villain Arrow has ever faced. Certainly the best episode of the series imo… Just wait till the surprise at the end of the episode. Will surely make people want to come back. Click Here for Spoilers

*Arrow Mid-Season Finale Spoilers*

Spoilers! Arrow Mid-Season Spoilers Don’t click if you haven’t watched it!

All you gotta know is Arrow Dies… Yes Arrow, Oliver Queen. Dies. His match against Ra’s Al Ghoul ended in him getting stabbed twice in the torso. Then thrown off a cliff. The most tense moment was watching Oliver’s life Flash before his eyes.

New DC show line up!

With a great fall lineup of DC Comic shows, they are already getting more shows to be added to the collection of Arrow, The Flash, Gotham, and Constantine. Some of the shows announced are SuperGirl, Titans, and Static Shock! Btw all of the shows listed are Live Action.

Supergirl

If you didnt know SuperGirl is Superman’s cousin! Much like an exact copy of Superman (Just female) Im not sure what the story will be about. But it is great to see more and more Female hero’s in the DC Universe getting some love!

Titans, well, ITS TEEN TITANS! Except… They are not teens. Which explains why they left out Teen. But I cant wait to see them back in action unlike the funny but disappointing Teen Titans Go!

static-shock-cartoon

And lastly, Static Shock! If you haven’t seen the original show (cartoon) then you have not lived! Although this is live action i’m sure it will be able to live up to expectation!

These will be a great collection to the already awesome shows coming out of DC Comics! Im seriously thinking DC Comics should have their own channel. But anyway, I can’t wait

DC movie news!

I know im a little late with this news, but I love movies as much as I love Tv shows. And when either of those things include DC, im all for it! So about 2 days ago, Warner Brothers has announced the full DC comics movie slate. Here they are.

2016

– Batman Vs Superman Dawn Of Justice ( March 25, 2016 )

– Suicide Squad ( August 5, 2016 )

2017

– Wonder Woman ( June 23, 2017 )

– Justice League Part 1 ( November 17, 2017 )

2018 – The Flash ( March 23, 2018 )

– Aquaman ( July 27, 2018 )

2019

– Shazam ( April 5, 2019 )

– Justice League Part 2 ( June 14, 2019 )

2020 – Cyborg ( April 3, 2020 )

– Green Lantern ( June 19, 2020 )

Although its a long way coming, I cant be more excited! Each year containing at least two DC Comics movies is a huge step up from 5 years ago. We were getting about two DC movies every 4-5 years. If this plan is a success, i believe they wll have caught up to Marvel in their Hugely Successful Marvel Cinematic Universe. A few reasons why I believe DC’s plan is much better than Marvel’s is because…

1. No connection to the Tv Universe. Unlike Marvel, DC will not be connecting their Tv series with their cinematic universe. This is smart because it gives the Tv directors and the Movie directors a lot more creative freedom because they dont have to think about how it affects the Tv show, and how the Tv show affects the Movie universe. It’s also better because, people dont have to keep in touch with every single show just to know whats going on. For example, The Flash tv show actor will not be the same as the movies actor because they don’t want to limit the directors creativity.

Second reason, is the Movie lineup. When Marvel created their cinematic universe they had started off with origin stories, then leaded up to a huge team up, but DC is doing the exact opposite. They are starting with a huge team up, then branching off into own character stories. I believe this is much better because you can introduce a character less known into the team up movie such as aquaman, and make him well known and popular. So when their own movie releases, many people will know the character and interested in him as he was popularized in previous films. Also announced was a stand alone Batman and Superman movie, but no release date. I’ll make sure to keep you guys updated 😀

Gotham

Yesterday one of my most anticipated show of this year came out. Gotham, a show taking place in the infamous city of Gotham where batman is known to live in and defend. But in this series, we take it back to the very day batman started. The day his parents died. On a quiet night in Gotham, after exiting a theater, Martha and Thomas Wayne were mugged and shot to death on crime alley, while their son Bruce watched.

Now you might be wondering how can there be a show without batman? Well, the answer is simple. There is no Batman. This show follows James Gordon a GCPD detective as he tries to free Gotham from its crime reputation, while solving the murders of the Wayne’s. As the show takes place well before our beloved Dark Knight, we get to take a look at our most favorite villains and their origin stories.

At the heart of the show it is a gritty crime drama, but with all the things we love about Gotham mixed into it. And the Pilot shines at showing this. With great crime lords, like Falcone and Fish Mooney, and a great lead like James Gordon had me interested through the whole 60 minutes. With a crime ruled city, James must deal with corruption and choosing to do the right thing. He will later find out you must do the wrong thing to do the right. The Pilot had a few flaws but was good enough to keep me wanting more, and Im sure it will only get better. Maybe this will soon become in my Nostalgic list…
